Quiet Storm by Kimberly Whittam is an empowering debut novel about friendship, family and finding confidence in who you are. Join Kimberly for an engaging discussion with Selina Brown, Founder of the Black British Book Festival as they discuss the power of sport for girls, why Kimberly wanted to give a voice to those children who don’t always have the confidence to speak up, and the importance of representation in children’s books.

About the Author

Kimberly Whittam has a degree in English with Linguistics and a Masters degree in Inclusive Education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. She currently works in secondary education and is passionate about giving young people in Manchester space on the bookshelf.
