About the event

Ian Takes Flight is a magical story about friendship, the power of imagination and understanding boundaries. It is set in the Caribbean countryside, where young Ian is spending the summer with his godmother. Ian has no other children to play with and has to do chores every day but he has such a good attitude that he is welcomed by his animal friends into a fantastic world called The Place Beyond the Sky.

Richard Nattoo (the author and illustrator of Ian Takes Flight) will lead us in a drawing exercise so that we can all learn how to create the magical aura of The Place Beyond the Sky, but not before Olivia Wilmot (editor of Ian Takes Flight) reads a few pages of the book especially for us!
